A-Eye Vision ("we," "us," or "our") operates the YardMapper mobile application and related web services at a-eye-vision.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use YardMapper.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Registration details: name, email address, phone number (optional), company name, site name, and report email address.
- Google Sign-In (optional): when you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and an ID token to verify your identity. We do not receive your Google password.
- Portal credentials (optional): if you save login credentials for the YardMapper web portal on your device, they are stored locally on the device.
Information collected automatically
- Device identifier: a hashed identifier derived from your device's Android ID, manufacturer, and model. We do not collect your phone number from the device or read your device serial number.
- Location data: GPS coordinates while you use yard-mapping features to tag detections and coverage trails. Location is collected only while mapping is active in the foreground; we do not request background location access.
- Camera and gallery content: images and video frames captured or imported for trailer and license plate detection. Optical character recognition (OCR) runs primarily on your device.
- Detection results: trailer numbers, license plate numbers, timestamps, GPS coordinates, and related metadata generated during yard mapping.
- Network information: local IP address and connectivity status, used for device heartbeat and on-device image sharing on your local network.
- App version and build information: used for support, compatibility, and update checks.
Payment information
If you subscribe through Google Play, payment is processed by Google. We receive a purchase token and subscription status to activate your account. We do not receive or store your credit card number.
2. How We Use Information
- Register and authenticate your device and organization account.
- Provide yard mapping, trailer search, and reporting features.
- Upload detection data and images to our cloud service when enabled by your organization's settings.
- Deliver daily CSV reports to the email address you provide.
- Manage free trials and Google Play subscriptions.
- Provide customer support and improve app reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Where Data Is Stored
- On your device: registration preferences, detection files, cached images, and optional saved portal credentials.
- On our servers: registration records, uploaded detection data, images (when upload is enabled), subscription status, and device configuration. Our primary cloud services run on Google Cloud Platform in the United States.
- Google Play: subscription and payment records managed by Google.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Your organization: site administrators and authorized users within your company who access YardMapper portal data.
- Service providers: cloud hosting (Google Cloud), email delivery, and authentication services that help us operate the app.
- Google: when you use Google Sign-In or Google Play Billing.
- Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
5. Data Retention
We retain registration and operational data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Detection data and uploaded images may be retained according to your organization's settings and operational needs.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- You can update registration details in the app at any time.
- You can disable cloud upload features when permitted by your organization's configuration.
- You can revoke app permissions (camera, location, storage) in Android settings, though some features may not work without them.
- You can cancel a Google Play subscription through Google Play subscription settings.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us (see Section 10).
7. Data Deletion Requests
To request deletion of your personal data or device registration, email admin@a-eye-vision.com with the subject line "YardMapper Data Deletion Request." Include your registered email address, company name, site name, and device ID if available. We will verify your identity and respond within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 30 days.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted HTTPS for cloud communication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
YardMapper is a business application intended for adults in commercial and industrial settings. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
